Branch Campuses and LGBTIQ+ Rights

More and more universities are setting up international branch campuses offering tertiary education degrees and certificates. Increasingly, academic staff are being asked to work with and on branch campus programs, either as staff visiting from the main campus or as staff employed at the branch campus itself. This poses a particular issue for the rights of minority employees - while main campuses champion diversity and equality, and seek recognition through organisations like Stonewall, many of the countries where branch campuses are located do not have comparable legal and employment protections for LGBTIQ+ employees.
